Welcome to join The Strindberg
Society! The Society was founded in 1945 and is thus one of the
oldest literary societies devoted to a single person. The purposes
of the Society are to
- support the Strindberg
Museum as well as the research on Strindberg
- collect, register
and look after different kinds of Strindberg memorials
- publish texts and
documents
- arrange conferences
such as the 13th International Strindberg conference in Linz
The Society is the publisher
of Strindberg's collected letters.
A membership includes a subscription to Strindbergiana (only in Swedish) which is published once a year.
As a member you have free admission to the Strindberg Museum. There
you also will find a Bookstore where you can buy Strindberg literature to reduced prices.
The Museum and the Society arrange programmes on a regularly basis.
