Originally presented to the XII International Strindberg Conference in Moscow, the twenty-fie essays collected
here by Russian amd Western schoars include new readings of a number of Strindberg's less familiar
works such as Gustav Adolf, Swanwhite, and The Black Glove, as well as indepth studies of Strindberg's
relationship with Russia and Russian literature.
Strindberg Conference in Stockholm
The XIV International Strindberg Conference isto be held at Stockholm University, June 10-14, 199.
The conference theme is "Strindberg and Fiction".
New CD released on Caprice Records: Strindberg and music. The young Swdish musicians Tobias Ringborg, violin, and Andres Kilström, piano, play Strindberg's favourite music. This CD contains music by composers
